About

A Helping Hand Estate Organizing Service creates a true partnership with our clients by listening to them, tuning into their needs, and making a plan that works for them not just for us. We are caring, compassionate professionals and are good at balancing the need to get the job done with the need to go at a pace that works for the client.

We believe that the services we provide are about much more than downsizing and disposing of an estate. They are a significant part of the healing process of dealing with the loss of a life or a lifestyle.

Biography

Janet has been a member of The Professional Organizers of Canada as well as The Canadian Redesigners Association of Canada since 2007. She is involved in both associations and continues to take courses to upgrade her credentials.

Janet has spent her whole life organizing. Whether working with clients, family or friends, she has organized everything ranging from small closets, bedrooms, and children’s rooms to larger projects such as garages, whole homes, and estate sales for both apartments and houses.

Her work on estate sales has included working with both Executors and Families to assist them in sorting and packing items, delivering items to beneficiaries, arranging for disposal and recycling of items, staging the home for sale, and organizing the physical move.  Janet has a particular passion and talent for working with Estates where there is no family and the beneficiaries live out of town. She has a demonstrated ability to make this difficult transition as easy as possible.

Janet’s passion and talent for home staging offers her clients an additional edge. Even before her training to be a Home Stager and Redesigner, Janet enjoyed staging homes to help the seller maximize their profit. When dealing with clients who are downsizing, this allows Janet not only to help them decide what to take, dispose of, and pack but also to assist in the full relocation process by speeding up the sale of their home. With their home sold, she then loves to support with unpacking and settling in, and can even use her design skills to help make the new place feel like home much more quickly.
